Meeting began at 7:00 PM. All were welcomed and reminded to pick up binders, name tags and T-shirts..
The Pledge Of Allegiance was lead by Derek Peters.
Old Business:
Nicolai gave thank you’s for our wonderful success on jump starting D.C. Bound 2013.
Registration: D.C. Bound remainder balance of membership due March 2012.
We should receive World Strides Packets in January 2012.
We have a full roster at this time and will take names of anyone interested and place them on a “wait list”.
Review of incomplete registration signing.
Fundraiser Report:
Ron Johnson of Grange Dairy Bar and Melanie Kohler presented a break down of the fair. Ron presented check to D.C. Bound of $1700.00
Introduction of Executive Board.

Dennis Marquis- Web Site Manager
Karrie called upon returned post card for verification of addressed (3 postcards were returned).
Nicolai handed copies of checks to students that have received Gift of Education donations and they are encouraged to write thank yous.
Nicolai handed out a “Thank You” card to be signed for Selah Heights Grange.
Recognized Austin Richardson for article written in Selah Junior High Sentinal Paper.
Introduction of niece Alessandra who will be helping Nicolai with D. C. Bound 2013. She is a previous traveler with WorldStrides and is now attending CWU.
Nicolai had Alessandra pass out candy to all the people who responded to her “test” email and again asked that everyone try to remember to check their e-mail often.
Introduction of 50/50 bucket that will be done at each meeting.
$1 per ticket. Half to World Strides account of the winner and half stays in pot for D. C. Bound Backpacks.

Explanation of Notebooks
Nicolai went through notebooks and explained their purpose and contents.
Reminder of the 2 things needed to be successful
1. Organization----Notebook
2. Communication----Email, phone,
Review of Membership on front of Notebook. Make sure you update all forms of communication as needed. New mailing address, phone number, email, ect.
Homework #1
Review with student and parent/guardian Financial Goals and come to an agreement on one. Have agreement signed by next meeting for Nicolai to review.
Tips of Fundraising
Do not use the word TRIP. This is not a trip, this is an EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Reviewed example of wording.

Write a script in own words for fundraising.
Review of Calendar- Thank you Kathy Hoppis for copying all calendars for our books. Thank you, also, to Shield’s Bag and Printing for the use of the copier.
Review of World Strides Itinerary. Can be used as an example for fundraising ideas.
Review of Study Guide Section. We will start receiving study guides in a month or two.
Fundraiser Report
John Roberts Impact Directory Chair Person. Students received .25 per book delivered. Mr. Roberts listed all students with the amount of books delivered.

5 or 6 sites right now coming up. There will be 2 kids and 1 adult per shift of 4 hours.
Will be selling popcorn $1 a bag.

She distributed sales packets to those interested. They are 3 different items to sell.

Nicolai introduced the Bowl A Thon. Approximately in January 2012. Usually on a Sunday afternoon from 12-3 or 4. We get a 99.9% profit. $6 for 3 games, shoes are free. Chair for Bowl A Thon Ann Joynt
